Why we exist
Briefs shouldn’t pass through three people before they reach the one who builds.
We have spent years inside agencies, in-house teams and on the receiving end of vendor work. The pattern rarely changed: a salesperson sells, a project manager translates, and by the time the brief reaches an engineer it has been through several rounds of interpretation.
Tideway Works runs the other way. The first call is with an engineer. The discovery workshop is run by engineers. The code is written by those same engineers, and they are still around when it needs to change.
We build on Laravel because it lets a small team do the work of a much bigger one, and we build mobile and TV apps on top of it, native or with React Native, so a product that lives on several screens doesn’t need several agencies. We are based in Adelaide and work with businesses across Australia and beyond.
